The vintage group I run with has changed rules so my car is now legal for under 1300 cc C-sedan so the 1500 is up for sale.

As title states short block with forged JE 76.5 mm pistons. Delta Cam .420 lift 278 duration 14lb flywheel. All the parts have been balanced, the block alone has $900 in machining alone. I have a H89 head (disassembled) that can go with it. The GX head is going on my spare A12. The motor only has break in and an auto cross on it.

Hey Rallytwit, I sent you a PM over on Ratsun, but I was wondering if you had more information on the pistons. Mainly trying to figure out if the CR would be streetable on premium (93 octane here) using an H89 head or if this would be race only.

I, too, am interested in nominal CR with H89 head. I assume 278 duration is "advertised" or a .005" lift?

Premium pump gas works with 11:1 with closed chamber A-series.

The nominal CR with H89 head was 9:1. But will be higher with the flattop pistons.

First the pistons are flat tops with a Fel-Pro head gasket and H89 head the compression ratio should be around 11.5 to 1 depending on the chamber size (the heads vary between 29 to 31.5ish). If you CC the heads you could open up the chambers to get it down to 10-1 to 10.5-1

As for the duration yes that is advertised, I do not have the cam card. Delta Cams could probably give you the specs

Additionally I have a 1200 cross member set up for a A15.

Hi. It's been a while since I've been on here :). Is the A15 still available? My number is 415-481-5384

Thanks,
Bryan
