I have lost some fluids from the auto box. How do I test the level with or without the engine running?

Hello, the level must be checked with the engine running at normal temperature.

Many thanks for that. Is there any procedure I need to do to check this level or just run it on level ground. What is the correct fluid to use?

Level ground is best for proper readings
If its a datsun auto your talking about use dexron 3

dexron is not realy a brand its just a specific type of atf they can come in many brands Just ask for dexron 3 atf and they should know what your talking about.
