You're probably better off just buying one. That's what I did. Btw. Don't throw out your 4speed as you'll need parts from it for the conversion.

Buy one? I was just looking at Dellow's site, and it appears they no longer sell them -- or at least I couldn't find via Dellow search and product catalog.

But now Dellow sell lowering blocks for 1000s & 1200s.

Bert what kind of CA needs an RB25det box? they are an awful heavy thing!
I was at a car show last week where a turbo Jaguar is using a T5 from an S10 chevy
which is a box I considered for an A series cause they are only 35kg compared to
the 44kg long 72c sr20de silvia box and just over 15kg lighter than the turbo RB

the gearset is anything you want from under the sun for 1095usd and can use an adaptor
plate made to use an automatic ca18de bellhousing

We are breaking the CA boxes mainly 3rd gear like there going out of fashion. The quick drift boys are now using the rb box behind SR adaptor(differant to CA pattern)and not having issues.A ppg gearset is 8k,replacement broken genuine parts only ex japan is around 1.5k.The CA boxes are all getting old and long in the tooth and fragile, reasonable HP on slicks is no friend of any nissan box ever made in addition we plan on upping the ante to 300rwhp later in the year,we will juat have to put up with a bit more weight

Nissan used it pre 86 but its the post 1986 t5 and onwards thats the goods.
Bert parts r cheaper, plentiful and 4 bolt to the bellhousing is a treat
when using an adaptor plate to the SR or CA auto bell.
Auto bell is same as on plenty CA20 and SR import rwds.
The RB box is too pricey, heavy and doesnt have the parts availability.
T5 sit behind 600hp 6 liter corvettes and many hotrods.
The S10 stumpy is very short and all T5 are so easy to rebuild
they have a modular design thats hard to beat.
http://www.aussiev8.com.au/holden-v8s ... -needed-t5-v8-photos.html
heaps of info and cars using them even big power vauxhalls, escorts in the UK
and almost every hot rod manual boxed on the road.
