Yeah my DOHC A12 is on hold while the car is returned to the road this summer. Once the car is to my liking (drivable and painted) I plan to finish the DOHC project with the 1.5 Mazda Z head.

By the way, they say never unbolt the Optical head from the CAS - even though there are two little screws it may break it. Instead, unbolt the center screw then flip the wheel over.

I will have to shorten the SR drive shaft to allow for a good mesh of the A12 gear with the CAM drive.

Then I need to machine a spacer as you can see the output portion on the A12 dizzy is shorter than the SR body.

All this for getting it aligned right.

The one I got for $12.50 at pick-n-pull sale bolted right in an A12. Just needed gear swap to make it turn. No other modifications or cutting/grinding needed. It was from a B12 Sentra with E16I engine.
