Hey guys,

After a Water Outlet / Thermostat Housing for a H89 Head.

Is there anywhere I can buy them new if there are no good used parts out there?

Happy to pay postage.

Joey.

You can use an A12 housing, or any A14/A15 housing.

Are you looking for a specific type?

If you can't find one these guys might have one http://www.autosurplus.com.au/. I've bought stuff like valve guides, bearings, gaskets etc, from them, kinda on my way home from work.

You can find an a12/a14/a15 thermostat housing on ebay usually. Like DD says, they're all the same.

Ok didn't realise they were all the same. I thought there were different types with different bolt patterns?

There are different types, but H89 can use the 1200 style (for fitment into 1200s), H50 style (for fitment into late utes), etc. etc. etc.

H89 head face. Other H89 castings are different, like the Vanette H89 or the round-port H89.

Their is also a 4-bolt type used with air induction heads.

So basically I can use any housing and it will bolt on and seal. The extra holes will just be left exposed?

Yes. The extra bolt holes are blind, no need to seal them.

Is this the first one you pictured?

That one is angled up as in a 120Y, angled up to clear the right-side alternator bracket bolt.

The 1200 style points directly to the side when installed. It depends on the radiator and hose style you use, and which engine your run (e.g. does it have alternator on right side). You can make either style fit, as has been done both ways.
