S13/S14 rims are +40, so don't discount it. That is generally the offest of a FWD car, but some of the newer RWD cars are using a high offset.

175-wide tires generally are used with a manufacturer-recommended rim width of 5" to 6".

definitely not R31 skyline/pintara. There was also a fwd Pintara though... I have NFI what their wheels looked like or their size and offset.

Ok so i just dont get it. Everywhere i have asked and everything i have read have said 175 will fit a 120y. So i got some 13x6 jellybeans with +23 offset yet 175/70 still JUST rub on the strut. Very frustrating. My question though is will going down in profile to a 175/60 have ANY effect on the width? The guy at the tyre place said it should reduce the width by the few mm i need due to less sidewall bulge. Not sure if he is just trying to stitch me up though.

Thanks
Trav

13x6"?

That's 2"wider than stock. Need less offset.

Yeah got to get it blue slipped though. Im looking into it. Got a mate who said he knows a guy that might turn a blind eye to a small spacer on the front. We shall see.

B210 had 4" rims +30 offset
Datsun option wheels were 5" +25 offset
A lot of guys run 6" zero offset but then the tyres may rub on the guard/fender.
