hahahahaha thats awesome, I can just picture that conversation, "mate do you know how fast you were going?" "obviously not fast enough you almost ran up my arse!"

I was thinking about that setup but as Corey said it will leave a hole there, old mate is supposed to put rego on it for me then i might look at either a spacer or patching it up or something similar

where the booster comes through, if I dumped the booster and just ran the 120y Master, wouldn't that leave a big hole?

It would just be a few holes drilled to support it u could get ur hands on a few grommets to plug the or weld... Or ill end up with wet feet when it rains 💦

yeah i see what you mean, im going to try to avoid welding it this early as its only got fresh paint, later on down the track im going to have a look at doing the old sr non turbo swap, then ill patch up all the holes and all the rest but thats a long way away yet

U will end up having to upgrade the brakes later to get past engineering anyway so the assisted brakes will be good to get sorted now, better than goin thru this again.

What you could try is to space the booster itself forward. I seem to remember the Australian build stanza's & 120Y's having an alloy spacer between the booster & the firewall. If you could find one, this would create room between the pedal & the back of the booster, enough to get the right distance & pedal pressure. As for the traffic stop, first words were "Good Brakes you've got there", However, I didn't say anything to him as I was doing 140k's when I first saw him & managed to knock off twenty K's before he spotted me. He had to reverse about 300 metres after he passed me, stopped by the side of the road. I was being chased by some arseholes at the time, but they turned off at the overpass the police car was hidden behind.

Booster is not required for engineering, as several club members have verified. If your engineer says it is, ask him what standards have to be met (e.g. minimum stopping distance and maximum brake pedal effort). The engineer won't find any requirement for "brake booster".
