H165 Which tailshaft to use

Recently swapped the standard H150 diff in my 120y wagon for a H165. The tailshaft is now approximately 40mm too long is there any standard datto tailshafts I can use? Or do I just have to get this one shortened?

You want a ute shaft. I have one that needs unis replaced. But they are "non replacable" which means you need a tailshaft guy to replace em. Stock ones are a bit weak so its worth upgrading them at the same time. $100 for the shaft I have. Maybe someone else will do one cheaper.

Ute shaft should do it. About 40-50 mm shorter seems about right.
Both H150 and H165 use the same flange, but the H150 is only 4 mm different from H145.

Rallycar is kindly going to lend me one so I can move the wagon around. Will get the other one shortened when A15 and 5 speed go in

Hey mate,
Just food for thought, could be an option if your still going to pay someone to mod a tailshaft. maybe get an aluminium/alloy tailshaft from the wreckers and get it modified to suit? Some ford models came with aluminium tailshafts from factory. You can view topic.
