Car is all back together and safety inspected last night.
Entry in for Round 1 on the 19 Mar if anyone is local and wants to come out for a look.
Although it will be busy for me with a F1000 team to engineer for too.
New front Discs are on for this season (old ones had some heat cracking in them).

installed the kaaz today.
used a conversion bearing on the crown wheel side which gives full engagement of the bearing locking nuts.
still pushes the carried a far way over to the pinion side only way to fix that is to run a crown wheel spacer. there is 1mm clearance to the bearing cap so I am hoping that is enough..... should find out pretty quick if it's not. I doubt the carrier will a. move that.much and b. if it does it would push away from the pinion which would open up the clearance.

What is the LSD designed for and which differential do you have?

Quote:
I am a little dissappointed that the increase compression ratio didn't have a great effect on the overall numbers.
Two things:
* 1.0 increase in compression ratio is good for 2 to 3% hp increase
* Boost builds up faster than compression, so on a turbo motor it will overall lower the numbers slightly. However it will improve off-boost response

LSD is for an early supra into a hilux third member.

my dyno results ended up very good, comment was made after first run. From this experience increase in torque from increased static compression is far greater then the numbers you quote above.

Because you have a boosted engine, the results are going to be different. Maybe wire the wastegate open to test the effect of static compression alone ...

I'm interested in learning. What was the resulting torque increase and how much compression did you add?

had a huge amount of fun yesterday at the track.
Using some very old (read now slick) A050's I wanted to just cut some laps to ensure everything stayed together.
Intercooler pipe blow off a couple of times (Hopefully fixed now) and other then that it was great fun to play with a whole bunch of oversteer with the shoddy tyres and new diff centre.
Looking forward to running at the night masters next weekend and on 4x new A050's :)
I'll post the footage to youtube. It wasn't fast but great fun.
