Hey,

I'm looking to get the dash pad on my ute redone and I've asked a few motor trimmers in Brisbane and they have all told me that no-one does it anymore in Brisbane and it's best to send it to Melbourne!

Has anyone had any experience getting one redone and any suggestions where? Happy to send it to Melbourne if that's the only option.

Thanks

I ended up buying a new one from B projects rather than be disappointed with a reconditioned one.

I got my dashboard re-skinned by a place in Melbourne (Ringwood) quite a few years ago and it came up like new. But I think he has closed down now. Esentially they fill and smooth any cracks and then vacuum form a heavy grained vinyl over the old dash.

The only place that comes to mind that's still operational in Melbourne is the Dashboard Doctor in Coburg. Try link below, it should show an example of a dash they have re-skinned.

Dashboard doctor told me $500 to redo mine yet he hadnt even seen it, it only had 2 minor cracks. Therefore there was still postage each way which would easily have been another $50 each way as I am located in QLD

Easier, cheaper and more satifactory buying this new one off Maddat
