What sort of tyres would go on a 13x6 rims. Im looking at buying a set, but am clueless in what sort of decent street tyres would fit.

are you looking for recommendations for sizes appropriate to that size rim and the car in general or recommendations on specific tyre brands/models and how well they grip or both (may help with responses)

205/60x13 fit on my 6" rims quite nicely. In the US they are hard to find and only available from Hoosier.

13 x 6 wheels fits tyres from 175-width to 205-width. You can fit narrower tyres by stretching, but the tyre manufacturer won't warranty them

so is 175 stretching and 205 normal? Sorry for the dumb question.. Just want to find some suitable rubber to run on the rims on a street 1200 sedan..

Normal for a 1200 is 155-width and 4" wide rim and is suitable for street driving. However, more cornering performance can be gained with wider tyres

Normal for a 6" wide wheel is a tyre anywhere from 175-width to 205-width. 205 can fit the rear if the wheels are exactly a certain offset. 175 will almost always fit. 185 can fit the front if the offset is close

"Stretched" for a 6" rim would be 155-width or 165-width. This will give you less cornering power, but looks cool

The only remotely decent 13 inch Tyre options I have come across in Australia are BF Goodridge Sport TA's, They are basically rebadged Michelin not Chinese Rubbish.

Michelin own BF Goodridge, Many brands are not owned by whom you may think these days such as Renault owning Nissan.

Nankang are about your best bet imo. I have Nankang RX-615 tyres on my 120Y and they're very good.
If you have a 1200 and want the same diameter as the original 155SR12, 185/60x13 are the go, and they're a perfect fit for 13x6 wheels. About $90 a tyre.
205/60x13s are bigger in diameter as well as width, and are pretty much guaranteed to rub on a 1200. Plus they're a better fit on 7" wheels if you ask me.
