Yup, no sweat just confirming to OP that in reality, you can still get them, and they do indeed fit.
If OP is interested, cost in NZD is approx $100 per side. So maybe $70usd?

If OP has no luck in finding KYB in the states, feel free to send me a PM, happy to help.

Oldrunner, I can also vouch for Bprojects in Japan.
Great service, fast postage.

You'll just have to weigh up the $/quality on their parts vs KYB. I'm unsure of the lineage of their inserts, but quality of their other stock very good.

Good Morning, at least from where we are in Southern California.

Sorry it has taken me so long in getting back to message concerning our dire need for front strut cartridges for our '72 Datsun 1200. We have owned this green pickle fro35 yrs.

KYB-England/Europe was contacted and they don't have these either (KYB362001).

Bprojects in Japan don't either.

We need the 45mm diameter cartridge not the 50mm that is in the B210 which are available through Rock Auto.

So you can get the 45mm, KYB 362001?

Let me know when you can.

Thanks for your help in this matter.

Good morning David,

This is Roger.

Just received message from KYB-England/Europe saying they don't have the KYB 362001 cartridge we need.

Bproject don't either as I've said before.

So my only alternative is to go with a Volkswagen model and have it fabricated as you mentioned in your previous message?

Hi Roger, you are the original poster, the OP.

Try this link
http://www.datsun1200.asia/category/select/pid/9132

BProjects have what you are looking for. It is not KYB., apparently genuine.

Also, forget KYB Europe, try KYB Asia//NZ or Australia for their product.

I can drive 20 mins down the road and pick a set up today, it's that easy.
Let me know if you want me to follow up for you.

VW inserts are the last thing I would use

For a smooth ride on stock size tires, better to use the Nissan inserts such as
* Genuine Nissan 1200 sold at http://www.datsun1200.asia/category/select/pid/9132
* Nissan Pulsar sold in Australia/New Zealand
* 1200 or Pulsar units made by Monroe Australia (stiffer than stock)

KYB is the original Nissan equipment. Genuine Nissan inserts are stamped "Kayaba" (KYB)

Sorry its taken us awhile to get back.

We are interested in your extra cartridges.

But I've heard cartridges sold "Down Under" are primarily for B210's which reportedly have a diameter of 50mm.

Our understanding is the '72,1200 only uses a 45mm diameter size cartridges.

Which on are yours, 45 or 50mm in diameter?

Could you please check?

Thanks
