So i swapped the 120y dash the other day to this one that was sitting unloved for too long. Trying to work through a few gremlins now, one being a decent voltage drop which is surely something to do with the amp meter. Anyone know were i might find the japan dash schematics?

Dash came with its wiring loom and i just plugged it into the AUS 120y engine bay loom. Everything seams to be working ok. As you can see dash loom has two heavy gauge wires on each side of plug(white and white red) engine bay loom only has the white.

A few notes:
I used a one wire 240z oil pressure sender seems to work, just swapped it with the switch. Sits at about 2-3 kg/cm2 (old oil burning a12)
Tachometer is a 120y/240z hybrid thing i butched and mashed together
Seems to have a annoying safety? buzzer when i take it over 120 which would be fine on our 110 roads but speedo is a good 10-15 too fast. Wrong diff ratio i guess, might try this 18t speedo gear (Gear)

Edit: yes the 18 tooth gear fixed the over-speed problem.

Yea would like to change the amp and clock to a volt and boost gauge one day. Would have to get gauges that look original.
Mine must be a early dash, theres a photo online somewhere of a late model dash and they have changed the amp to a volt also has brake and oil pressure idiot lights which mine does not have.
I got mine on ebay about 8ish years ago. There was a quite a number of them on ebay back then, you're right I don't see then for sale anymore.

Ok mine must be a later one then as it has the brake and oil pressure light. Also I have no clock just a sunny blanking plate no wood grain either. I was lucky enough to stumble across mine ending up swapping a rusty y coupe for it Ive only ever seen one other one in aus before.

When converting to the round gauge dash did the plastic cover just bolt up? I think the frame might be a little different to accommodate the centre gauges.

Changing the whole dash works

Can you bolt the B210 round gauges into a B210 rectangular gauge dash? Doesn't look like it

Yea so the dash face will bolt up fine, however you will need the scallop the frame where the three small gauges fit to clear them. The small clock bolts to the face and the two gauges bolt to the frame. Nothing too hard, bit of marking out with trial and error to get them to sit in just the right spot. i glued some studs to the frame to mount the gauges.
Also had to drill a hole somewhere to clear a bolt/stud that was sticking out of the face, i cant remember where or what it was for.
