First thing for my ute was Leads, plugs, points and distrubutor cap.

The one I'm happiest about was parts for my stanza strut upgrade, both struts with girlock calipers & near new disc's, lower control arms, camber rods, full steering assembly, 180B brake booster, 120Y front sway bar all for $40

And that was only about 3 months ago and was the second purchase for the ute.

First thing I can remember was me and my dad buying parts for our 1200's, although I'm sure there was something else before that. But it was a B210 dogleg 5 speed which I have abused for years now, and a GX exhaust manifold and front pipe.

mine was a 1985 madza 323 (same as the ford meteor) that i paid $150, came with jumper leads, full tank of petrol, brand new box of tissues, and a few other random things.
i bought it off a school teacher that only used to drive it 2 kays a day to the train station.

he wanted $500 but my dad taught me the basics of negotiating as a kid and got it at thr above price.

it had 110000kms, and no matter how hard ive tried i cant kill it. all my friends have keys to it and is used when we go out so we park it anywhere, leave it for days and we know no one will bother taking it,

it still sits out the front of my house, people have offered up to $1000 for it (even after seening how i drove it) but i refuse as its the only car i havent been able to break anything on it.

all i did waas service it and put a new battery in.

it now has 160,000kms , its name was Handy the Handbreaker....... that couldnt be broken.

For me it was a 1200 Head Gasket set that I bought off of Ebay for $25

On a side note, does anyone know about the Mazda 616 becuase I know someone who has one in good condition and He wants to sell it. The car looks very similar to a Datsun 210 Coupe.

Peace

the year - 1988. the car - 180b sedan, unlicensed, rusty, damaged. so what did i go out and buy? sheepskin seat covers, a stereo and a magic tree air freshener. never did finish it as i was too young & clueless, ah those were the days.

what else do you buy when someone gives you a stock standard 120Y coupe to you for free for a first car?

a set of jellybean mags with new tyres and a battery in the same day.
