Put a T junction in the breather hose as close to tank as possible. The breather comes out where the fuel level sender is. Depends what body shape on exactly where that is.

With the turbo oil return do you have any pics of.someone who has done that?

Put a T junction in the breather hose as close to tank as possible
Coupe: T into the vent line accessible through the interior side panel (lower vent line at the filler hose)

Sedan: T into the vent line on top of the tank, accessible through the boot

Wagon (van): T into the vent line at filler, I think it's accessible like the coupe. Use the larger/lower vent line. Note that the small vent lines dumps to the ground

The downside of doing it the filler is that eventually these hoses crack leading to fume problems (or worse). And if the fuel cap is loose or missing, then fuel might escape

Ute/truck: T into the filler vent hose either from underneath or closer to the filler. Not sure how accessible the tank end is unless the tank is dropped

The top of the filler vent hose is accessible through the tray panel

late ute (from 1978 in Australia, 1973 in Japan) added the reservoir tanklet, but the filler vent is the same

Some coupes have an access panel in thr boot floor to the top of the tank. That gives you great access to T in right at the tank

Or better still, to the tank itself. If you drain it and clean it out, you can cut and weld/thread a proper fitting onto the tank.

Thanks for the replies!

1200rallycar I know you mentioned a L28 patrol fuel pump as your lift pump. Just wondering what people would suggest as the efi pump from the surge tank to the fuel rail?

Any wrecker suggestions or better to go new?

I'm wondering if I weld a new fitting on that seems like sound advice!

Is it a matter of once drained and washed out and safe etc soldering a new one in using a blowtorch and solder like from bunnings or something else?

Depends on what EFI system you are running. Low pressure, medium pressure or high pressure? Also how much HP are you planning on? It will need enough volume for the HP -- but if it's a 100 hp A12, any EFI pump supplies that much volume

For example, Datsun EFI -- including A15E and 280ZX -- runs a 44psi fuel rail. the two common choices are:
* OEM (stock) Datsun EFI fuel pump - quiet, reliable
* Cheap aftermarket $100 EFI 70 psi fuel pump like Walbro 155 or Aeromotive 11104 -- noisy but works well. The Bosch 044 unit is also popular. All will supply hundreds of HP so are overkill volume-wise for an A15 but since they work well and are inexpensive why not?

I think either type will feed a 10psi turbo EFI (44psi + 10psi boost) but probably not 20psi

a slick choice is a pre-made kit like the Maddat Underfloor Fuel Package

While 40-50 psi systems are most common, many throttle-body injectors are low pressure. For example the A15 EFI from Zenith Power Systems was 15 psi -- and they still used a Walbro 50 psi fuel pump (with most EFI there is a pressure regulator attached to the fuel rail)

Newer cars -- most since 2004 -- use return-less EFI which simplifies things a lot. No need for return line. If your ECU can handle return-less fuel, the return line and the vacuum-type regulator will not be needed

VL efi pump is a handy one. Used to get at wreckers but these days straight off ebay would be the go.

Have angle grinded and welded tanks. Normally flush wist the hose and fill over half way with water during the work. Never seen an issue
