North America 1200s were subject to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 so we received the beautiful and highly reflective phat side markers

In addition becase FMVSS did not require it at the time, they were non-blinking -- just parking lamps. Front and rear were required after 1970

front side marker is same coupe and sedan - amber (orange) lens is required. But left and right differ for no discernable reason

R and L lens is the same. It is marked 'TOP' on both edges so can be turned over for correct bevel for the side (Lens is thicker at front edge matching the curvature so the fender)

Rear differs coupe vs sedan. I cannot spot the difference

The lenses are marked same as fronts -- IKI 5003/IKI 7007 (ICHIKO was the company that sourced them for Nissan)

Also like the fronts, they are marked SAE P169/SAE A69 which it seems many north america lenses were (Ford, Chevy, Volkswagen, etc)

Found a list of SAE lighting standards codes (SAE J759)

SAEPI69
SAE = Society of Automotive Engineers
P = Parking Lamps
I = Turn signal lamps
A = Reflex reflectors
69 = 1969

Although these don't have Turn Signals in them, perhaps it was considered. In any case the final NA side lamps are only parking lamps (no indicators/blinkers)

USA/Canada Datsun 620 uses same lens & rim as 1200
* The front housing looks identical but has a different part number. Wiring even looks the same (bullet connectors)
* The rear housing is deeply angled so won't fit a 1200

USA 620 vs 1200
* lens & rim interchange

The packing (gasket) is marked FLH RRH implying it can be used on both Front LH and Rear RH, but the Datsun parts catalog shows a different number for each corner

Sunny Truck -- at first -- used the same H10 side lamps as the sedan/wagon/coupe until March 1978

From April 1978 they used a G10 lamp with a black rim
