Best I have found is 750kg plus 34kg for extra if it's an auto. Is that right?

695kg JDM Coupe 1972
700kg JDM Coupe GL 1972
710kg JDM Coupe GX 1972

automatic transmission models were 35kg more

Why was USA Coupe so heavy?
* May have been measured more realistically (1/4 tank fuel, etc)
* Had a very large battery, maybe 8kg heavier than JDM 1200s
* Might be the 1973 USA model with its extra 15kg of safety metal

So 1725 lbs = 784kg. 784 × 2.5 = 1960cc which is just short of the Australian guidelines for a 1998cc sr20det conversion. But I will give it a try

states usually have a list of offical tare weights and who knows where they got them -- reportedly they have the 1200 sedan & coupe both listed as 735kg. Maybe your engineer will certify it based on the weights shown in the Nissan Australia brochure
