I don't have 13s -- I just say no to 13s. 17" wheels seem to be the size with the most tire choices

Stock Datsun 1200 tire: 155SR12 diameter: 21.8"
Yokohama S.Drive 195/40R17 diameter: 23.2"

So only 1.4" taller, or shorter than 195/60R14, but you get beautiful large aluminum centers

Japan, china and India are prob the only large populous countries where 13s are more common than 17s
also 15s are more common than 17s. Those retro beauties with 17s look like 90s OZDM bogon chariots.

Here in USA as of 2016 only a very few cheap cars use 15" wheels -- and those same models have optional 16" wheels

On the retail tire market you can still buy 12s, 13s and 14s, but they are very limited in selection

Those beauties are South African utes, and they chose a smaller 17 inch tyres the same width as many 13" tyres

it seems Australia chooses the largest 17 inch tyres they can shoehorn in

fitting 17 on the rear seems fairly easy if you have the right offset

the front is much harder ... simmons are the best custom made for datsun offset you still need plenty of gaurd mods to stop scrubbing

Too get wide 17" tyres (wider than 185) on the front requires
* Modifying Foot Well
* negative offset, for example -17 for 235 tyres or +0 for 205 tyres
* Rolling the Guard or Flares

Additionally, negative camber can help a bit

Closer looks at the 17s on the blue bakkie. As you can see they are not very large tyres. So they would only need the same mods that 14" tires will

As long as they suit the retro lines of the 1200 take your pic
but seeing modern styled wheels on old cars just kill me inside
