I had a 79 as well as a 77 and used the GT tail lights
which have more bezels basically exact Mustang copies
otherwise. Both had the 18rg but one was 2.2 litres and
that thing punched so well it was like halve a windsor :)
well halve a 400hp one. My 79 was done by a friend in
Ford Blaze Blue with black everywhere just GT badges in red.
Puerto Rico were mad on the T series motors, 800hp was
common for them from the 3tc, quite amazing basically halve
a hemi but smaller again. Pushrods again.
289 Windsors are one of my favorite motors of all time
pity they never became what the LS is now and pity they
never used a flat plane crankshaft or 11rpm would be possible
with todays pushrod improvements, its insane big blocks
can hit 10,000rpm.
