First you can see a quick clip of the car running through turn 1 here.

Currently I'm running the A12GX motor in the car has I've not got the A15 put back together. Most of that is down to my spending time on my single seater but I'll get the A15 done.

The A12GX has a ported head and the flat slide carbs; everything else is standard GX motor. It's probably making somewhere between 76-80hp at the wheels.

Top speed at this track is just a shade over 92mph. Turn one in the video sees the car doing 70mph at the apex.

My run group only had 8 cars so I pretty much had the track to myself.

During the first session of the day I decided to push on cold tires; on lap two coming through a left right section I got the car on opposite lock, I kept the lock on as it coincided with the upcoming right hander. Instead of snapping into the right hander Scandinavian flick style, it popped up on two wheels. Nothing huge, the inside wheels where 18-24" off the ground at best, it put so much load on the outside tires that both the front and the rears washed out so the car came right back down again.

I've done this twice before at autocross back 25-30 years ago. Same thing, Scandinavian Flick and once the car whipped into the right hand turn (left drive car driver on the outside) it popped up in the air. Back then we lowered the motor and trans 2". The car is now has a 3" wider track width so I was a bit surprised that it did this.

On the upside the course workers said the lover watching me drive it and the sound of the motor. After all these years (37 ownership 33rd year on track) it's still a fun car to drive.

I've got a fairly rapid single seat race car; it actually cost me less than building a full on race engine for the 1200 and so the 1200 is actually my fun to flog car now.
