updating the Crankshaft Pulley article

slowly copying from Photobucket. I have thousands of Datsun-related photos there ...

Anyways, there are at least four twin-belt pulleys for the A-series engine, each around 129mm but with a different size front sheave:

small
medium
large
x-large (about the same size as the rear sheave)

Both the medium and the x-large i'm told are late model A12. One might be 1978 1200 ute, and the other is 1979-up. But they'll bolt to any A-series engine

Here is a very common "W" pulley on Japanese auction sites. Seems to be used on the late model 1200 ute, the B122 (1981-1994)

This is the Medium size front pulley. It has eight round holes in the hub

These dual-belt pulleys are for air conditioning

Here's the "large" W pulley. The rear sheave is the basic 129/130mm size and the front one smaller (but larger than the other types)

Very similar looking to the 'small' W pulley, but has no puller threads in the face of the pulley like the small type

small type has threads tapped into the face for a puller tool

It's weird to me that both my A14 engines had triple sheave pulleys (both different) but neither came from a car that was equipped with anything other than the water pump/alternator, so they're both a waste of two sheaves. Probably the result of long ago repairs/alterations.
