Yes, the A14 and A15 have the same block height. I think it is about 0.75 inch higher than the A10/A12/A13/A12A block height.

I vaguely remember the demon A series guy over here used to use duralumin (?) alloy tube, and push chevy ends in. They're a ton lighter, and don't flex!

OK Finally got the rocker assembly set up and bolted in place. Got the measurement figured out. For A15 engine with GX head and stainless valves the length of the rockers is 6.600". As was mentioned before, the Small Block Chevy pushrods are the answer. I ordered up a set this afternoon. Should arrive Wed. I will get the whole thing set up Wed eve and post results.

As usual, things dont move along as fast as I'd like. Just picked up the rods. They're Isky chromo's. Looks pretty nice. $79US for the set of 8. I hope to get it done this weekend. Then I'll post results.

The little loved A10 with it's 59mm stroke has an even lower deck height than the others, so there are three groups.[that i know of] Have i missed any?
A10
A12, A12a, A13 [70mm stroke]
A13 [77mm stroke], A14, A15

The extra height of the 1200 engine over the A10 is the reason that the 1200's stock air filter assembly rubs under the bonnet when a 1200 is installed in a 1000 car.

OK, hands up those of us who bought a set of Yells Terra roller rockers since this became the subject of it's own thread.

I know Lemonhead did,.... & I did, & i believe that myko2 in the US did.
That looks like three sets or more as a result of the discussion, so it could be said that Datsun1200,com is good not only for us, but also good for business.

If you bought these rockers as a result of the discussion, then please let us know. I am very curious to see how many went for the big splurge. I will be talking to Feral [Datrats] about his affordable pushrods soon too.

The pushrod saga continues! I changed my springs to the Crane ones I bought last week, built up the rocker set, bolted it all in, and the isky rods I bought dont fit. Theyre either too long or the radius on the balls is too big. Either way, I will still have to sort it all out.

What size ball ends did you buy?I haven't had a chance to check yet but i'm told that the ends are 8mm (5/16") What length did you make yours? Mine should be turning up today, I"ll be putting them on the head that I bought last week that was advertised on this site. When it's all assembled and sitting on the block i"ll take a measurement and make a set up myself. I have a friend who builds drag cars and he was telling me about the components you can buy to make up your own, chrome molly shafts with press in ball ends(technical name "maywest ends")

Okay, Got it sorted. Small Block Chevy rods in plus .100 length. Seems Isky sent plus .160's instead. Maybe the order puller needs glasses. I will have them tomorrow.
