how many people have got 4ag powered datsuns out there.how does the car feel which diffs r they using?any ideas suggestions for a 4ag20valve in b310 r more than welcome.

There's a 4 door circuit car in Levin with a genuine Formula Atlantic motor in it...
Goes great, and sounds fekking brilliant to boot..

There's also a coupe circuit car in Auckland which I havent seen but it's apparently a great package....

A friend of mine has just put a 4age runing on sidies into his race coupe, and to be Honest he has been disapointed with the performance compared to running along side some other a14's and 15's. He is going to remove it and put a A series back in, as he thinks that this will be more cost effective to gain high reving HP.
Another guy in the car club installed a ex formula Alantic motor into his 4 door. This went like stink and could rev, however he forgot about the fact that the cranks are only designed for a very short life span and it made a grand exit from the sump and side of the block.

I have a Supercharged /Turbo 4agze in a 1200 coupe Race Car ,, Is 50kgs lighter than a ca18 det engine and gearbox .....

thanks for the info guys.i would love to use a nissan/datsun engine in my b310 but unfortunately there r no engines available here or any performance parts for such engines so i am going to get the next best option a silvertop 20 valve.its got 160 hp.now which diffs r u using with 4ages.

Hey Tim, the coupe you refer to in Auckland is nice & very quick, was doing 1:07's (maybe high 1:06) from memory, in saying that the engine is pumpin out approx 230hp. The guys that owns the engine has just brought my coupe & plans to put his engine into my shell, its going to be a rocket!
