just wondering how you fellas with gemi radiators bolted them up?
I bought one today and the metal bits with the bolt holes are in the centre, not at the back... di you's have to cut out the hole at the front of the engine bay? This is in a 120Y by the way

I have a Gemini size radiator in my racecar but I had the radiator guy use 1200 sides and relocate the inlet/outlet to suit 1200 so I could use standard hoses. Sounds like a hassle but it was no more expensive (I supplied an old 1200 unit to take sides from) and he had Gemini top and bottom tanks in stock. I also modified my support panel to look original (ie widened the opening).
Little bit of scratch and think but the effort is worth it as my car NEVER runs hot with the new setup. Good luck !

You don't need to make a bigger opening in the sheet metal. It won't overheat. Just fit a bit wider radiator. My A15 never overheated, even in very hot weather.

I agree DD, but since I was building the car from scratch it was opportune to make the opening wider for max airflow. Obviously too major for a quick fix on a road car though !!
I also think there is no such thing as a good second hand radiator Recore it and you know it works - $$ saved bypassing this step soon bite you on the butt on the first bad traffic day in summer .

Well just to change the mood, my A15 overheats all the time with my radiator!! Its quite shagged but i oppted for a Mazda 323 '74 radiator, pretty much the same just had to drill 2 new holes for bolts to mount on... goes well tho!
