My 1200 is a 1971 model and got it in summer of 75. Bought it when I graduated high school. Now it is a going to work car. Where do you get most parts for it? I don't see many in junk yards & the dealership doesn't even try to carry or send for parts anymore.

Probably not many. I can tell you there's at least one here in New Jersey and it's in my garage :^)

I live south of SF. I have a '71 1200 coup. A neighbor has a sedan. Mine is still powered by a 1200 engine built for racing, SCCA type rollbar built in, front struts are, I think, from a 210, as is the 5 spd. I may run mine at Thunderhill and Shasta at the All Datsun Meet in July, if they will have me. Most of that event were 510 and Z's...So I may take the 510, also.

Hi everyone,I live in El Salvador Central American, and this information may can help someone, I am a proud owner of a Datsun 1200 coupe /72 and believe it or not, here in El Salvador you can see a lot of Classic Datsun still running, and also you can find brand new A12 engines, and some parts for our Datsuns.

I will try to get some Internet adresses of some places that I know, but I`m not sure if they have a service from here to the US, because is not ussual, but could be. But that is true,is true. Here In El Salvador, you can find several parts for the 70`s Datsuns, and you can see some of them on the streets.

This is an ALL datsun meet. I believe this year it is from the 10th to the 14th. Its mostly 510's, Z's, and roadsters. When i was there 2 years ago, i also saw some pick-ups (utes), a 210, an old,old 1959 or something datsun 1000, a Mercedes with a 6cyl L series, and 2 1200's(one was mine). Its Datsun Disneyland.
