Hi guys,
I've just purchased an A series overdrive 5 speed, (with an A15) will this gearbox fit behind an A12?

Is the A15 clutch and flywheel bigger than the A12 one? OR can I just use my existing A12 clutch and flywheel with the 5 speed box?

Cheers,

James.

It'll bolt right up. Use the A12 flywheel (light) or A15 (heavy). Your choice, they are the same diameter.

But whatever you do, use the A15 clutch cover because it'll handle the torque of the A15 while a standard A12 clutch cover will not,

Thanks DD.

So when I do install an A15, I'll use the A12 flywheel.

Cheers.

Jempson, I've got a fully "race lightened" A-Series flywheel at home. It should be pretty cool. Depends when you plan to put the engine in. I'm kind of unavailable until the end of the month, due to social commitments.. I can get my old man to weigh it if you are interested. I went CA18 before I had a chance to use it ( Yeah it's been in the shed for 12 years )

I don't want anything for it. I got it among a bunch of stuff from a dirt circuit racer from Campbelltown. I remember him telling me it was good to go. Will need a quick skim from a clutch shop.

Chris

Hi I'd love to take up that offer Chris,
I'm tossing up whether to rebuild the A15 I have before putting it in, so I'm not in a hurry. I'll send you a PM.

James.
