If I remember rightly, Batinich's is out on the Wombat Rd. [Yes, there is a small community called Wombat] It's been a while, but the township of Young was a part of my client area when i was the fleet manager for Telecom in the 80's & early 90's. Its' a good town & i made a lot of good friends there. The bicycle racers let me join in on their training rides & they helped keep me fit,... & exhausted.

The Commercial hotel was home for me when in town for about 10 years. Not a bad little pub that one.
One of the Lithgow Small Arms factorys is located right in the main street. It made machine guns during the war & was being used as the local TAFE [Colledge of Technical And Further Education] when i was around the area. It's almost opposite the town hall.
