Can someone PLEASE tell me where to find the engine numbers on a CA18?

They don't seem to be in all the usual places.

The usual place is just below the head on the exhuast side, starts with CA18...

Most police can't read it, if it's got the factory oily muck on it, and the original exhaust manifold and heat shielding is used.

I've had mine checked on occasion
