I'm asking for a mate of mine who hasn't got the net on.
He is about to have a hilux diff modified to fit his 1200 sedan. But before the mods are done , he would like to know what brakes other people have used.
disks are preferable, but we're open to what worked for you. (or someone you know).

The person who goes by "lagwagon" here has a hilux diff in his CA wagon and I believe he uses RX4 drums.

We did one for a customer just recently. He brought in some S13 discs and calipers so we fitted them up. I think he's putting S13 struts up front too.

Reasonable job, most work was in the caliper mounts.
Had to turn down the axle flanges a touch, and drilled the axles to four stud. PCD was same as datsun so used one of the toyota holes and drilled three more. And the other 4 holes didn't overlap the three I drilled.
Caliper mounts were turned out of heavy plate, necessary to get the caliper offset right, so a bit of turning to get rid of excess. Bolted mounts to axle housing in backing plate holes.
Did pretty much exactly the same thing for my H165 except made the mounts from aluminium alloy.
