so..... on my way to the autoelectrician today to get rid of the only problem keeping me from driving my ute something happens.......
trtavelling about 100 on the m4on my way up to blaxland i notice the temperture is getting a bit high so i pull over and she drops water everywhere. not what im concerned about yet getting bigger radiator and thermo
its when i go to take off again it seems like the brakes are locked on it was like the handbrake was on but it wasnt
so i call a tow truck tow the car home and it rolls off the truck and we push it up the drive way into the garage
what was causing this 10 mins earlier the car was sitting on a 30 degree hill out of gear and no handbrake on yet now it seems to be rooling again
help is needed urgently so i can get back to my datsun driving

Have you done any recent brake work, say maybe a master cylinder?

im thinking a drum is rubbing slightly and affter you drive for a while it heats up expands and starts to really lock on, after the tow home it has cooled and released again, though i didnt think that heat expension was so bad in drum brakes, im sure someone else can shed more light

food for thought anyway...

once i spoke to a few people i considered the drums as well but i wasnt sure
also just recently had a new master cylinder installed
any more suggestions
