Hi, does anyone know the valve clearance for the A15 engine, I would like to adjust mines they are making a little to much noise. Also I need help in knowing how to adjust them, is there a particular way to go about adjusting them or can I adjust them just like that after I remove the tappet cover?

If you turn the engine by hand untill the #1 piston is a top dead center, you should be able to adjust valves 1,2,3 and 5. With #4 piston at TDC you can adjust 4,6,7 and 8. Count the valves from front to back.
I don't have an A15, but that's how I've adjusted the valves on my A12 and Mazda B2000 engine.
I'm not sure how much clearance. It's around .010-.012 thousanths of an inch.

I did my valves using the method described eariler, then as a check, i did it properly to discover that the adjustments were now off. Ever since then i have done it one cylinder at a time & the engine should be hot, ie at full operating temp, not just warm.
