Hey guac, have you seen the Chickenhawk? It is yellow and black. It can be seen at www.dimlightracing.com which is my site. We have recently added the Dodge Omni flares and need to update the pictures but the paint is still the same. For now. I'm thinking Chrysler "Plum Crazy" for the next version of the car.

Side bar: another post hits twenty replies! I don't know why I find that so interesting. I need a life.

Hy AFRracer. I have an A15 engine with one 32/36 weber. I read you mentioned a friend w/2 32/36 webers(DGAV"S),I have another dgav at home, and instead of bying 2 DCOE's,I was wondering if maybee I can get a manifold for 2 dgav's and use the extra weber 32/36 I have at home. @ 32/36 + a header and a cam should work fine for now, later on ,I am planing to swap in a more powerfull engine. But up untill I fix the paint and some rust in the car,I want to keep the A15 and focus my efforts in the body. Also one more question. I have an addco sway bar on front, works good, but how is the rear connected,in case I get one? the bar should be clamped to the diferential, but the links, where do they go,do I need to weld parts?.
Thanks.
Jaime

Hy guacamolis,I am looking for 235-50-13 tires. Do you know wherer can I get that size tires? I need 2 for the rear of my B210,which has 13X8 wheels and 215-50-13 tires all around. I want the 235's for the rear. If you want to get rid of your tires, let me know. I am in California. I do not know how to bring a pic of my car here ,but in the yahoo datsun 210 club, under jaime's,there is pics of my car.
Your 1200 is nice,I have been looking out for one w/no luck, but my brother got himself a pickup(ute)truck1200,and it is getting nice,32/36 weber ,headers, and soon a cam.
Have fun.
Jaime.

There was a photo of a dual Weber downdraft setup on the old Yahoo club. He had to fabricate it himself if I remember correctly. I always thought it would be too much carburetion for the little A-series, but we know what happens when I start thinking. If the owner of that setup is here, he could give you some tips on that. Sorry, I can't remember who he was but I believe he was in southern California.
As for the rear bar, mount the thing to the leaf springs. Clamp it as close to the axle as pooible where it bends forward at both ends. Then clamp the ends themselves up near the front eyes of the leaf springs. You shouldn't need to weld anything.

Hy Dimlight. I remembered seing a dual 32/36 weber setup in a light blue datsun somewhere, but I could never get a hold of the perpetrator. About the rear bar,I have a front ADDCO bar and works excelent,so I am planing to use my stock front on the back,I think it will work because the rear bar is supposed to be a little smaller than the front. From what I understand,I shoult clamp the bar to the leafs, forward to the axle,as close as posible to the axle, and the ends of the bar(eyes) should be clamped also to the springs, close to the front eyes of the springs, right? What kind of clamps do I use,to hold the bar, would squared bolts (like U bolts but squared for the square spring leaf) 2 of them, hold the ends of the stock bushing -clamp bar clamp ,and in the bar front area(bar eye) would the same work as well? I got to visualize that detail.
Thanks for your tips. Jaime.

That sounds like a perfectly acceptable mounting plan to me. Of course, you'll want to experiment some with placement. I'd think that there would be an added benefit of preventing axle wrap and brake tramp, but I'm not 100% sure.

Jaime,

I've been having a heck of a time trying to find a suitable replacement (tire and wheels) for the little green car...The main thing that is making it difficult is that I'm a cheapskate, and I want to spend as little money as possible....

The last place I went to suggested a custom-made steel wheel from Calif (around $40 each) that will be a 15x7....While I was there, they told me that they (tire manufacturers) don't make the 235 50 r13 anymore....they said that Yokohama and Goodrich made that size, but they don't anymore.

I'm sure someone out there with more info than I've got would be able to tell us if that's true or not...

Take it easy,

Greg

Hy Greg. That is what I have been told too, that 235-50-13 tires are no longer available for street use, they make 245-45-13,235-50-13 and others indiferent denominations (like hoosier racing tires uses,is like a metric terminology) ...but only for racing, not for street. I like the performance and looks of the 13's,I made 14 X 7 front and 14X8 rear wheels for my datsun, but the tires available in 14 are also bad, only 55 profile or 60,no 50 nor 45,so unless big wheel well work, with 14 or 15 inch wheels or bigger, you can only use skiny tires, the wheels would be a max of 7 inches if it works, it is not my look,I like fatter tires and wheels to hold the ground,I am not into the chromed shiny wheel, skinny and inneficient. Nobody can tell about tastes,it is a personal thing. But if you want to get rid of your 235's,let me know,I want them. Do not forget, please,I have been looking for them for a while. I hope some manufacturer builds them again.
Thanks
Jaime

Hey greg,I forgot to say,in 15 inch, you can make it ,because there is more sizes available in 15,you can get 45 profile in 15,that might work nice. That was going to be my plan after the 14 experiment dd not work, but I foung 215-50-13 tires available and I tried them on 13X 8 and they work fine,If I ever work on the wheel wells, and use the SR20 engine(not now,no money, but in the future it will happen),then I will need more tire in the back, there is one 14 inch size available in 50 series, which is too big without wheel well work,it is the 245 50-14 and even a 265-50-14. Obviously, these tires would stick good to the ground, but unless major wheel well work is done, the car would look as a "hotwheels toy car",not really my style.the 215-50-13 on front and this tires I just mentioned on the rear, droped 3 inches, and a SR20DET under the hood,Man! we are talking. This reminds me that I got to buy myself a lottery ticket.

Keep cool.
Jaime
