rounded down the problems of my sr20de ute not disengaging the clutch to hydraulic problems or internal g/box problem.
so this is wat i did. bleed the hydro propperly tried it then still cant grab any gears when motor is on but when its off can get any one i want.
pulled off the master/slave cylinder to get inspected with the lines (incase of a leak)
Q. where do i get them inspected? local mechanic?
next possible problem the hydro system is fine g/box problem?
its a sr20de motor with 180sx box and 11inch navara clutch plate and dont no pressure but thinks its a navara also.. wat could the g/box problem possibly be?
i got a camera n can get pics so i can give u info.
just need to fix it!

2nd pic is how it is when its in the car.
NOTE: the pushrod sits on an angle when pushed in and out. was told this wears the piston cup out ( seal at end of piston sealing piston and cylinder body) resulting in loss of pressure? and need a reco.new master cylinder.does this sound like a possible answer u think?

just an exploded view of a master cylinder to help make sense of wat im saying

Thats a Silvia master.
Comes thru the firewall a fair way and gives you a very short pushrod
If possible I'd suggest moving the master accross so it doesn't push at that angle.
Failing that..... you need a different master that doesn't protrude thru the firewall as much.
Get your hands on a JB1376 or JB1431. You'll find these have less coming thru the firewall....are cheap....and may cure your issue. They also have the same diagonal mounting so fitting should be a breeze.

yeh i no its a sylvia master.. i luckily have the number of the bloke who built the car and found out y he used it. its because its the only one he could find that is small enough to fit behind the motor.. all the others were too big and would hit the intake..
those masters u recomend are they of similar size and wat car they come from? i can move the master maybe 5-9mm accross to make it more parralell fo rhte pushrod too just need the trusty jigsaw hahaha
ne- idea on how much another silvia master or reco one costs?

Those other cyls I mentioned are longer in the body... so no use if you have your engine in the way
Maybe you need to make friends with someone with a brake shop and find a suitable replacement

got the standard sylvia replacement from Just Jap up at Kirrawee, nice ppl there
Neway bak to the business at hand, gotta copy that pushrod from the bottom one to the top one, Q does it just bolt out? and bolt into the other one?
or need i weld n grind ( i can get it dun)?
and next step then is to line the clutch pedal up with the master so its all parralell. prob weld a plate or bolt to the side of the pedal coz it needs to be about 10mm across..

Normally with the removal of the circlip in the end of the cylinder, the rods can be swapped.

This will be all that's required. But this doesn't fix the angle that it operates at. That's unacceptable. You will be replacing it every 12 months.
