Well, I did it. After Cole got her Datto, I got hooked. So I bought a 1970 Sedan out of the trading post. The motors tired but it is registered & roadied with disc brakes, weber, headers, decent suspension, reupholstered interior, electronic ignition, chrome wheels. It looks tidy & I figured for the money I couldn't build anything like it. Once I pick it up, i'll post some photos. The next step will be quotes for an engine rebuild.

"the next step is to get quotes to rebuild the engine"??? mate, do it yourself - that's the best part! If you are going to have a mid-life crisis go the whole way with it!

Yeah, maybe. It comes with a spare A12 which I could pull down & check over. My backs pretty stuffed but I do have access to an endless chain. don't want it off the road too long, I want to drive it.

my family and friends can't wait to label me having a "mid life crisis".

thing is i've been full-on into cars non-stop since i was 12, so that really doesn't apply!

Hi Mike, the cruise sounds great. Cole was a bit cranky that I bought the same car as her. I said its not the same, its white. I don't think she was impressed. When she saw the spare parts that come with it she was happier. Mind you I haven't figured out how to pick up the spare A12 and I think i'll need it as the motor that's currently in the car blows a bit of oil smoke. It will probably last a while but I factored a rebuild into the cost anyway.
