Maybee i know where some doors are, but since you can't be bothered to tell us where you are, why should we be bothered to tell you where you can look.

Since you used the word "guys" i'm guessing that you are in the US of A.

At least SaltwaterCowboy is telling us that he wants a right side door in Canada. I'm sorry, but i can't help you from this far away mate

Back in the early 60's when the first of the Toyota & Datsun cars were being seen in any numbers, the Australian public realised that while Japan had been our military opponents in the forties, they were quickly becoming the motorists best friend in the swinging sixties. The most common cars around at the time were of British manufacture & were not really all that good. In fact, many were outright rubbish. The japanese cars came with "refreshing new styling ideas" [they looked funny] but they were reasonably well made, were competitively priced, & came withstandard features that were previously unheard of in new cars, like multi speed wipers, heaters, [that worked] radios, engines that, while derived from British designs,... didnt leak oil, didn't break down regularly, performed surprisingly well, & as a result of their staged two barrel carbs, got good mileage too.

Australians at this lower end of the price spectrum embraced these cars with a vengence.
Back in the late 60's & into the 70's, the ownership of a Toyota or Datsun dealership was as good as a licence to print money. The huge acceptance of Datsun cars is why we got the 1000 in all it's variations, including the coupe, & it looks like we are the only country outside Japan to get it.

Even with the 1200, we missed out on only the two door sedan [bummer] & the two door van, in what looks to be an otherwise complete model lineup, probably as a result of falling sales for these types in the earlier 1000 models.

So,... yes, we have a lot of Datsuns. The Japanese were good to Aussie motorists, & we said thank you with our wallets.

I didn't ask you to vote for it.

Im from sydney NSW if you wanna know.

Happy.

An whats with the essay.

I didnt ask for a history of datsuns an corrolla's.

If you wanna help me, im glad to listen but after all that ####, I don't think i'd beleive you.

An yeah, i didn't even bother reading the whole thing so you just wasted your time.

No disrespect to the forum but who invited you along.

The essay was for SaltwaterCowboy & anybody else who wanted to enjoy. If you dont want to read it, then don't, but if you had followed along with the posts you would have caught on. Maybee you'd have learned something too.

Who invited me? The same people who invited you. You got a problem with that?

If you don't include some detail on where you are in the world [as you already know, it's an international club] then we are going to have some difficulty with providing help for you. This location detail is usually included in your profile,... in the space provided. This is why the space is there.
We don't need your home address, but a City, or even a general area would be good. Many just tell us the country that they are in, like the Cowboy, & it may well be enough.

Way to go galahazard, that kind of attitude will get you a big NOTHING on this site. dodgeman is a wealth of information and has assisted many members on this site ... so maybe you should have a rethink. We don't mind helping people who are genuine but don't think for a minute that bad attitude gets you to the head of the queue.
Cheers
