Clubman put me on to it, an A series auto box has a bolt on bell housing, great for gearbox conversions.
I've just started a steel case Celica 5 speed conversion using the auto box bell housing.
I'm having an aluminium adaptor plate machined to fit between the bell housing and the 5 speed box- thanks again Clubman.
A full report with pics will be coming towards the end of the conversion.
