Bloody hell sidedraught,

I wish you weren't online, I really wanted to get rid of the thing.

Now I am having second thoughts.

Sorry everyone for posting it for sale, but I will put in the corner of the shed and think about it some more.

Car is off the market.

Sidedraught,

Can you please explain to my wife why I am keeping it now? She was so happy when I said it was going to get stripped and be gone from our garage.

Everyone else out there who has read this thread, I feel a little silly now for advertising it, but I think it is best to keep it whole not in bits like sidedraught suggested.

ok here's what you do:
you tell her you don't want to wreck a unique rare car, so your going to sell it complete
you put an ad here for sale to sell it, and then overprice it (tell the mrs its worth quite a bit)
In the meantime, while no one is buying it, you start doing things to it, get it running nice (that way it'll sell better) once its running nice, let the mrs take it for a spin (carefully of course because its for sale) and she'll fall in love with it, you get to keep it and all three live happily ever after....

LOL,
That's a great plan. Trouble is we are doing up our house and I am loseing garage space.

I had to choose between the Datsun and my 351 Falcon. And it is a hell of a lot easier to find parts for a Falcon.

Now I am going to have to sell the Falcon (which I have only just got back on the road) to finance the Datsun.

Oh well, at least the Datsun is a classic. And is cheaper on fuel.

Anyone want to buy a 351 XD Falcon???

on ya mate, I'm not knocking the XD, I have owned V8's before but if you have to lose one of them, it should be the V8, makes sense as you say considering the price of petrol. Yeah, its easier to keep the XD, harder to find parts for the Datto, but what gives you more enjoyment and which is more unique? But don't give up, try and keep both.
