the GTR had its first run on the track yesterday. It wasn't an actual event, just a practice day and "come and try" day for first timers.

It was raining heavily most of the day, but it eased to a drizzle for one or two runs. The GTR was pretty awesome, and heaps of fun to drive. It was the fastest car by about 3 seconds, but there wasn't all that much competition and I was still taking it pretty easy through the trickier parts of the track. The times aren't really relevant to a dry event, so I'll still have to wait and see how it will go against the faster Subarus - and my old 1200's times, but it showed a bit of promise, and I think some tweaking with suspension geometry will help too.

I won't get to run at MtCotton again until next year, because the next event clashes with the Bathurst dates, and I'm really looking forward to opening it up down Conrod straight!

Is that an EA ford wagon in one of those pics?
Rain hail or shine its always good fun. The GTR should have been pretty good in those conditions being AWD
Well Done!
