hey, just wondering. does anybody know why my 1200 ute would be on a permanent lean to the right? i measured the guard heights all round and the ones on the right were about an inch lower the the left ones. it has never been in a crash and never been modded so its all straight. would it be the shocks/springs? as these are standard too.
anyone else ever come across this?

My wifes does it too.. there's a pretty recent thread I started. It's on it's 3rd set of front springs, and second set of rear springs and front shocks, still leans. Some of the other members suggested the steering, battery, and fuel tank all being on that side.

yeh thanks mate.
but i still dont reckon that the steering colum and battery and fuel tank would make the car lean that much... after all how many other cars do u see with a lean on them?
i just hope that its the shocks and it can b fixed with a new set of stiffer ones.
wen i put new ones on there ill see if it does it. if it does i reckon that a slight nip with the grinder on the springs on the high side should level it up.
and if it is the fuel tank thats making the old girl like the tower of pizza, ive got plans to make a custom one and put it in the tray anyway.

id say (my thought) that over time your springs on that side will sag due to the fact the fuel tank is that side and the drivers weight is also that side i had an old landcruiser that had the fuel tank under the drivers seat when the tank was empty it sat sort of level but fill her up and shed lean

Yeah, like I said, all springs and shocks were replaced on my wifes (with brand new ones) except the rear shocks and no change, guess I'll cut a little off the left side when I get around to it... good luck though.

Here's a thought. If the road is crowned, as they are, then the lower, right side, rides on the higher part of the road, nearer to the middle. This way the car actually sits flat[ter] when you're driving it.
Hey, i'm clutching at straws here.
