how tight should my motor be???

hey guys,

i just put my sub-assebaly together tonight put the crank in and torqued it up and i could turn it by hand, but when i put my pistons in i had to use a screw driver to turn it.
is this right? there arnt any high spots, it turn smoothly just tight

hope this is not any major problem, i just want to make sure

when I put my a12 together 20 years ago
it was tight too with a fresh hone on the
cylinders and new rings--as long as the rings
are set right you should have no worries

To quote Goldmember: "tight, like a tiger!"

But seriously, it will get harder to turn with the pistons in. As long as you only need a wee bit of leverage to turn it you should be fine. If you have to lean on a four foot breaker bar, something is amiss. Or at least a mister.
