Something to think about and share with us all,Have you ever bought or come across a Datsun that was a little strange or had something weird done to it????

I recall buying a pair of 1200's once ( which I should've kept )one was a coupe that the guy had turned the rear leaves upside down to lower it A LOT (summernats cruiser) and a sedan that was completely stock apart from running a set of motorcycle carbs with a custom manifold ( Mikuni's from memory )and yes it ran too .

Yup! I once bought a 1965 Datsun 410 (no not a typo). It was a four door sedan, and it had an MGB 1800 engine mated to the origional Datsun non-syncro gear box! Crazy! I only bought it cause it was a good deal...buy the way, anybody need parts?

We had a 1964 Datsun "Sports" pickup (ute style) for a yard car. But the most amazing thing about it was a four-speed column shift. Talk about mushy shifting ... but it did work.

Crikey, You'd get some good mileage out of an a12 on LPG. With 90 litres on board you'd only have to fill that up what.. quarterly?

This one was part datsun, A Hilman Minx with a L16 in it with twin SU carbs and a five speed. And I had a 1200 with 4 mikuni carbs on it off a Z900. They cut off the manifold and put rubber tubes on it to make the carbs fit

I stashed a honda 360 for a mate for a while till he sold it off. It was nicknamed 'The pickle' due to its size. i think that it was the predsessor to to honda Z. With a 360cc twin cyclinder air cooled engine, it was a hp machine. A four seater too, not that I would even attempt to fit one person in the back seat.
Two doors and a boot the size of a milo tin, I cant really imagine much use for it except for single person, short distance transport, (but I think that i would just walk , and carry my own shopping.
