Im running a bw vn 4 pinion diff in my ute and i know that il never blow it up there plenty off 10 and 9 second vl turbos down here with the same setup. The diffs in the skylines are 4 pinion but unless you get a silloette or gts diff they only have 25 spline axels

Actually, all R31 Skyline diffs are 28 spline, whether they are open or LSD and regardless of model.

However, all R31 Pintara diffs run the 25 spline axles and 2 pinion centre.

As long as it is from the Skyline with the RB30E six cylinder, and not the pintara with the CA20E 4 cylinder, then it will be a 28 spline diff.

The Pintara crown wheel and pinion set is worth getting though, as its a 4.1:1 ratio. The six cylinder skylines only came with 3.7:1 (manual GX, Silhouette), or 3.889:1 (automatic and all GTS models).

Thanks for all that info guys

yes I would agree with the 28 spline one how about hats can they be had in alloy?
By the way rotor mazda diffs would crap on the r160.
Weight wise no heavier than any BW.
As for the hilux many more centres and ratios are available than mentioned for the BW from 4wd specialist.

However the BW is the cheapes and easiest to get from Pick-a-part.
