ok heres a question for some tech heads
if a E15 goes close to bolting up to a A series box as posted
does that mean that while surfing micra pages and they said that a ET pulsar box is a upgrade for micras DOES IT HAVE THE SAME STUD PATTERN

Well it would definately be the turbo box from the e15t not the normally aspirated one. If its a comment thats passed through the grapevine then maybe no one knows.
Feral would know for sure.
Try him at datrats.com.au he has cg13 performance stuff also.

I supplied the engine and box with a lot of other bits for the supercharged micra in question "White Knight"
The box is from an E15Tand had to be extensively modded. Mods included new engine mount holes being made up, box dowels relocated to match the engine and a modified starter motor with adaptor plate made up as the starter engages the opposite way to the micra engine.( pull in versus throw out pinion)
The ET box is much stronger and has taller ratios than the stock box due to the diff ratio.
The micra CG13 in either turbo or supercharged form strips the gears in the stock box.

ah good I was reading your site and wanted to know if any of the engine holes lined up as I want to fit this engine to a A series belhousing and I know that some of the eseries line up with a series

I relise this is a bit of a long line question but Im hoping to make an adapter plate to run from CG13de to a rear drive belhousing

I want to build a new club car to IPRA rules as its getting more and more expensive to maintain the A series

If it all happens I maybe up for some stronger bits
so ive booked marked your site

I think you could get some holes to line up. You would probably need to tig some alloy blocks on the bell housing for the remaining holes, redrill the block with new holes using an A series sandwich plate to locate bolt and dowel positions.

For the engine, I would seal of the stock CG dissy drive and fit a good crank trigger system like the Electromotive one (if using carbs) or just make up a Hall trigger system if injecting and using an after market ECU.
This will allow you to get back close to the firewall. The stock dissy isnt mod friendly.
One of these engines in NZ made 165 hp with forgies, cams, good pipes and a motec ECU. He had a modded sequential box behind it in a rally car.

The fact that you can carry the whole engine (58 kg's) makes it a great engine for the 1200 and lighter than the A series.

I did a mild GA 16 early in the year. I had a bit of trouble with port shape, they are very flat like the late SR20DET ports. Bottom end is good, though the rods look flimsy.

that sounds good I had read on a usa site that the rods need to be replaced if you want to use bigger revs

now all i need to do is find a cg16 for resonable dollars and sit it in the new shell ive got for it

Im hoping that dad is going to get involved in the project he fabricates cages and exhausts not mention he won state races in his 1200

im looking at building a basic package with a standard engine to see how it all comes together then improve from there.

the alloy flywheel looks the goods though

do you have any second hand bits in stock

I dont have anything for the GA engines in stock. It would all be custom built.

Your dad is more than capable of making those parts you need

Does he still race?
