I just got a used dual carb intake for my 1200 for Christmas. It doesn't have any carbs on it and I don't know what kind of carbs will work with it. It has two 43 mm holes for the carbs
to mount to. What kind of carbs will work with this manifold??? Weber DCOE's? SU's? Canon? Solex/Mikuni? Help me figure out what kind of carbs too search for. Would carbs from a 510 or
Z work on this?

43mm man that sounds pretty bloody huge.
Could it be a single Weber manifold?
in which case it could be a 45mmDCOE manifold,
The ol' SUs were a more common sight though. Is it an oval port GX type manifold? are there any markings/brands on the
manifold? Let us know.
BTW..that's a a cool Christmas Present.

Boy am I green, I would hazard a guess that it is a ported NISMO manifold for 38mm su's which fits the NISMO race head. you'll need some SU gaskets to check to see if they fit
the manifold . Take it to the nearest dealer and they should be able to
confirm this for you . I think the next size up
for SU's is 44mm . There were some SOLEX carbies
out there too . I am sure you'll find something.
Linkage will be the tough part !

Yeah it's an awesome Christmas present! It's funny, the intake doesn't have oval ports but the round stock 1200 style ports. My dad and I ported the carb side from 41mm to 43mm, and the head
side was 29mm, but we ported them to 31mm. You should see the polish job I did on it..sweet. I would guess that it's a stock SU manifold, but my dad got a dual 38mm SU intake/carbs from the
same guy and it isn't the same as mine. His has oval ports and a different mounting point for the linkage, but the part that the carbs mount to is the same. I'll try to get some pictures of
it on the net but it'll be a while. It'd be cool if we had lots of pictures of the many different intakes on the A-series engines. I've seen the Weber DGV setup, the SU setup, and the
Dellorto setup, but that's about it. Anyways, Happy New Year everyone!
