Hi Guys, Im fairly new to 1200's, I have a 1975 B110 sedan with front disks stock.

I have just found a local guy near me with 2 120y's or 140y's (not sure which, its got 3 round tail lights each side, fast back) he is stripping, are any of the parts from that worth taking off for my 1200? or are they pretty much the same?

Thanks

in AUS the 120y sway bars are bigger then the 1200's but i'm not sure about in south africa. i would grab that. If it is a 140y, does that mean it has an A14 in it? if it does grab that too. they will both make good improovements to your car.

There should be quite a few parts from B210 that fits B110.

The only thing is we are not very familiar with SA datsuns.

Some parts are better, it depends on the B210 in question. The radiator should be better. Even if it is the same dimensions they have more fins and cool better. Later B210s have Large or Medium size radiator.

The SA model may or may not have better disc brakes. 1975 USA model B210 has Excellent-style brakes, while 1975 Japan model B210 has B110-style brakes.

For a huge list of parts that can be used, see B210 Parts Donor.

Great thanks!

I found this:
In most markets, the B210 line featured as the only engine option a re-designed A12 engine. However, in the South African market they also featured L14 and L16 engine options, as well as special edition of B210 coupe badged as a 140Z and a 160Z. The 140Z and 160Z featured twin SU carburetors and a 5-speed transmission.

I will go look at the car soon, it looks like the B210's I see if i search on google, but it has 3 round tail lights each side, not the rectangular ones, holding fingers crossed it will have some good parts for me to use.

that B210 coupe is probably a PB210 if it has a L14 (or L16) in it

I don't know if ZA got B310's (Aka Sunny or 210)

but to fit the A12 out of The Yellow Peril (B310) into the Defect III (B210) I had to change engine mounts... not the rubber blocks with bolts... the mounts on the engine...

thats the OLD A12 btw... notice the 3N71B (3 speed auto) attached to it... new A12 has a 60L 4 speed attaced to the back of it...

if that B210 with the round taillights is a runner grab it and keep it... for it is a rarity...

I would have liked if Australia had got the PB210 it would have been cool - but would have killed 180B (P610) sales...
