Im having some trouble getting my 1200 to run smoothly with the 2letre 32/36 webber from a cortina. The engine is the standard A12 with extractors, does anyone know what size jets
to put in the webber to get rid of the flat spot (just above idle) and give me some more power perhaps?

The golden rule for webers is...
"Know exactly what you are doing or else take it to someone who does"
Weber parts are so interdependent.
Change one part and you have to change others (or at least their settings).
Most garages do NOT know how.
Most "Tune Up" companies do NOT know how.
Go to one of those little owner run places that seem to do all the hot local
cars.
He WILL know cause he loves the business.

So wayne......do you know webbers well....or do you have a busisness in perth that I can take my datto to....I'm out around the midland area..(the country), but
am willing to travel..
I have not found anyone yet, but I've only had 1200 for a few years??

I took my race car to "Automotive Tuning Centre" in Welshpool.
Phone (08) 9451-7755.
Darryl Penley is the boss.
HIGHLY recomended.
He knows these things inside out.
He does some of the cars at Wanneroo.
He also sources and installs Japanese import engines.
I have a couple of Weber handbooks that show how to set them up.
Even though I am handy woith spanners and tune ordinary carbs, Webers are just that little bit tricky for
me.
Too many interdependent details.
e.g change the main jet size and you also have to replace the idle jet - not simply adjust, replace with
a different size.
Adjusting is real expert stuff.
