I had a bit of a search round and couldn't turn up much
I was just wondering if anyone has any pics of their panhard bar setups. Particuarly intersted in sedan setups (as thats what I have) and with the bigger commie borgwarner in the back and the spare wheel tub, its pretty limited for space under there. Stupidily I took off the commodore panhard mount on the diff when I shortened it as I suspected it was going to be it the way.
So am just wondering what you guys were running.
Cheers
nick

With leaf springs lateral movement isent the problem it is with coil's. even most race cars just run a sway bar and anti tramp rod's..

Haha i just realised I put rear panhard bar in the subject (just in case you thought I was talking about the front panhard )

The car will be mostly a road car but I had hoped to do a few sprints/track days etc.

My rear wheels are quite close to guards and i'm a bit worried about it rubbing on hard cornering i'e track work.
Had also thought the lower rear roll center wouldn't be a bad thing either.

I believe your probably right, but i would have thought it may be more of a problem with the bigger diff as they are quite a bit heavier than even a h165

a panhard is definitely a good idea and a big diff would make it more important as it has more of a tendency to stay instead of go with the car. i've got a torana diff in mine which is pretty big and heavy with springs reset 50mm and 1 inch blocks and at the track i can feel the car moving around on the diff a fair bit.

There is a large contigent that say a panhard rod is a bad idea to add to the otherwise stock Datsun 1200 rear suspension.

All you are going to get here is two different opinions. So why not read up on it?

Search datsun1200.com to research this topic: search results

Question has been asked many times. Why don't you read up on it? There is a link above.

Then you can post a summary here for all the newcomers
