yes it's an early model B310

easiest way to update it's look is to get the all the font panels and lights grille and everything off a later model B310 - and would look better than quad light conversion on a roundlight sunny....

210/sunny it is a B310... well HLB310 actually

H midsize engine = A14
L = Left Hand Drive

B310 the chassis code for a Sunny/210

B310 is rear wheel drive
310 is front wheel drive

the B310 was sold as a "Sunny", 210, and 120Y/140Y and possibly a 150Y

here in Australia they are known a Datsun Sunny's

Lots of stereotypical comments here:

Datsun B310 != Datsun 310. Two different kinds of Datsuns

Cutting springs is bad -- if you do it wrong. So is buying ready made springs. Very bad if you get the wrong ones like guys here in America do. Don't end up with too short, too stiff and bad handling because you bought new springs. And remember that Australian regulations are for your protection.

Can't wait to see how your B310 "Datsun 210" Sunny turns out. There are a few running around Seattle but the ones I've seen are all stock condition.

The best way to lower the car & cater for the turbo engine is to fit shorter front struts with bigger brakes. The struts other Americans use seems to be 280Z/X. The spring would probably be too heavy, but give it a go. the Rear springs can then be cut, or another set made to match the ride height. I second the idea of using the later 510(a10) headlight buckets to give you the 4 headlight look, though you might have to change to later model front fenders & bonnet to match the 510 grille. As for the rearend, which you don't mention, you can probably use the rearend from a 240SX, which should be a solid axle H190. You have to modify the lower trailing arm mount, but the stock rear end just isn't going to last with the power. Please keep the photos coming, I'd love to find a 2 door B310 sedan here in Australia, but they didn't sell them here.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

i found this website ( http://www.maddat.com ) that makes custom parts to lower the car, make a front brake co9nversion kit, motor mounts for sr20 but i'm confused there's a section for B210/sunny and a section for 120B/B310 and earlier you guys said that B310 = B210...so if you could help me with that... go take a look at the website.

you guys said that B310 = B210
That's not correct. B210 is 1974-1978. B310 is 1979-1982. Very different cars. The B310 is marketed as "Datsun 210" in USA.
