yeah it didnt come up to bad, the one in the sedan was better in the engine bay though...just had to make up more of the back section (which i'll have to redo on the wagon to suit the r31 box anyway)

its dans actually, hes been good enough to drop into mums after work a couple of nights a week to weld every thing

and jon was nice enough to lend me the welder for about a month so far so its probably a bit much to have him over here welding all the time aswell

hey man great work, im impressed! youve inspired me to put up a build thread for my coupe in the near future, ive gotta do a simillar bit of work. thanks heaps for the tunnel idea, exactly what sort of tunnel do you recomend for the ca conversion? also does it matter if the vehicle is auto or manual that i get the tunnel from? any difference?

thanks, been meaning to put up a project thread for ages

wat sorta gearbox are you using? stumpy or S13?
stumpy one will come straight up threw that hole in the tunnel
but for an S13 one you would need to extend it back further

auto and manual 120y tunnels are the same, think as far as putting them into a 1200 it doesnt really matter wat one you get

im unsure what type of box i will be using, im still waiting on approval for the conversion before i spend any money on a half cut. what box would you recommend? i got given a bunch of 120y datsuns today and free roam of any parts i want. one of which is an auto. also a 1200 ute been dumped, its got bigger brakes and struts under the front so i think they are coming home with me. hey with suspension and brakes what are you using? also what is the go with seat belts, id like to install retractables but i think mounts will have to be made? any knowledge of that sorta thing?

id say use the stock S13 5 speed, or go for an r31 or 32 5 speed if you want a little more room(they are about 2 inches shorter than an s13 one)
should also get a sway bar from one of the 120ys too as they are bigger than 1200 ones...then sell the rest of the swaybars and front struts on here
if the ute has bigger struts and brakes, tak all the front suspention arms too as you will probably need them....and once again raid some other parts off the ute(diff and front crossmember and such) as you can sell most of that stuff easily

using all the sedan stuff in the wagon once its done which is:
adjustable stanza control arms
custom adjustable castor rods
200b steering arms
shortened 200b struts with coilovers
r32 caliper with r33 disc and custom adaptor
r32/33 discs and calipers on the back
r33, soon to be s13, master cylinder

utes have rectractable seatbelts...i put them in my sedan and didnt like them so put the stock belts back in
