my prob-
ok guys so i did a blow-through turbo conversion to a stock a15 with a weber ca18 t25 turbo running 7psi standard boost and i have had the ute on the dyno but it didnt matted how much i drilled the jets it still kept leaning out we even tried a run with no secondry jet and it did the same so i suspect its a fuel problembut while on the dyno we did try an electric fuel pump and that made no difference, but could that have been because i think that it was only a 7psi pump. so we did figure out if u slowly fed the ac pedal it would make power without leaning asmuch but still did by the time ur at full throttle

my question
so if i run an electric fuel pump and a rising rate fuel regulator will this fix this prob??
or can i just use my mechanical pump and a r/r fuel reg??
i hant done anything to peasurize the bowl in my weber is this the main prob? or should this b fine with the fuel reg

so the reason i ask is because a rising rate fuel reg for a carby is like $250 so i dont want to buy it if i dont need it

any help much appreciated thanx andy...

uhm b4 i did the jets it was too lean to do a run but got 30rwkw

then after jets it was more manageable we made a full run and got 60rwkw but that was lean we pushed it a lil for that one

but i also heard that a 32/36 weber only holds about 5-6psi fuel preassure so i think wen boost comes on this is pushing the fuel back down the line so it is not getting down the jets
so if i have more fuel preassure wen boost comes on it will make sure it stays in the float

G'day andy-roo,

From an engineering point of view a draw through set up doesn't effect the carby other than how much air has to be sucked through. It sounds like the fuel bowl in the carby is emptying out so I would look at the size of the parts leading up to here, if the pump is sufficient. For example, can you get that much fuel through the needle float set up (assuming this is what there is). maybe you could put a larger needle, seat and valve in it. THis is the only other flow limiting part I can think of for the fuel so have a look there. Hope this helps. In general you need to find the weakest link and fix that.

Cheers

yes i have already tried a larger needle an seat but that made no difference top end but it was flooding it down low

there is a vent thing in the top of the weber that u can c into the bowl(float level) someone did mention that the preasurized air from the turbo could b getting into the bowl and pushing the fuel away from the jets

is it as easy as blocking this off??

A suck thru setup souldnt put presure in your in your carb what size fuel lines are you running because even if you have double the fuel pressure but cant gej enough flow your stuffed.

hey mate its running blow thru isn't it? ... You need to feed more fuel pressure in then boost pressure otherwise it will start to lean out ... Try setting your boost to 2psi lower then your fuel pressure and give that ago ... If that works then you need a fuel pump that can put out a couple psi more then your boost
